Only in Australia

One of my favorite things to do is to go to the library. Being surrounded by hundreds of books (excites my reading nature) that you can check out for free (excites my frugal nature) is awesome. The most important discovery that we made when we moved to Melbourne is the Toy Library. Every two weeks we check out new toys that have included very large toys (car, spinning toy built for two, a Little Tykes kitchen, etc...) and very small toys (Tasmanian Devil, Echidna, platypus, and possum figurines). The kids love playing with the new toys and when they start to lose interest we return them and get new ones! Awesome!

Okay, that is so awesome! What a great idea. What a money saver, and what a great way to learn what your kids would really play with. I only had one area that had great toys all the time, and that was a play group, done by the Y, and they had a half a trailer full of toys. Playgroup was free, in Hawaii. Must be an island thing. :-)

That rocks....hmmmnnnn I wonder what else would be fun to have in library form that we could enjoy for two weeks and then return just as we're getting tired of it ;)

They had a similarthing at the library in St. Cloud Minnesota. Best thing ever!
