Tassie - Day 2 - Lake St. Clair

We drove another 2 1/2 hours up to Lake St. Clair, which is at the bottom tip of the national park, we could have driven another 4 hours before getting to the top. The lake was beautiful, but the weather had turned chilly and wet. The clouds were different every time we took a picture. We went down to the beach and enjoyed the view, threw rocks into the lake, and Jared filled all of his pockets with sand making him really heavy when we had to carry him later on.
We then went on a bushwalk to the river junction that flows into the lake. Many people come to Tasmania just to go on the Wilderness Trek from Cradle Mountain to Lake St. Clair which can take up to 8 days. Our little bushwalk was the end portion of the trek and it was definitely long enough for our family.
The best thing about our time at Lake St. Clair was seeing a Wallaby in its natural habitat. The wildlife in Australia is brilliant.
