The Great Ocean Road - The Sights

Oh what a beautiful world we live! It was so great to travel along this road. We had a wonderful time and the kids did well for their first major road trip in Australia. Our second day ended with a very cold dip in the Bass Strait. Jenny and Jared's feet touched the water, while John took the other kids to find angel fish among the coral. Overall, it was a good trial run for our major road trip after Christmas. Here are a few of the sights we saw on the road.
The first picture is of the London Arch, formerly known as the London Bridge, but one of the arches collapsed in 1990, leaving tourists on the wrong side and needing rescue. The next is of Brooklyn and Isabella soaking up the sun and refusing to pose for pictures in front of the arch and finally, the beach opposite the arch.
This picture of another arch was one of many taken by our chief photographer John, he was the only one willing to run down to the look out, the rest of us stayed in the van. The pictures on the sides are at Peterborough beach. We thought the rock formation looked like a bear. The water was so cold, but beautiful.

It's so beautiful! The water looks so darn blue. I'm glad you all are enjoying it out there.

Definitely a bear there, a big brown bear keeping watch over the bay. Great imaginations guys. Arches National Park in Utah is dry and hot and you hike in with your own water, these arches are awesome with cool ocean breezes and water everywhere, and to think it is just off the ocean road. Amazing world and very beautiful.

Jenny, it really is breathtaking! You are so fortunate you have this opportunity to explore Australia with the kids. We all miss you, though!!
