Jared threw away his pacifiers today. We all went to the garbage can initially full of excitement only to have Jared say no and run away. Bella convinced him to actually throw them in, only to have one pulled out immediately and taken into the other room. He also tried to put it in a drawer in the kitchen. Finally, Bella convinced him again to throw the pacifier away and we quickly tied up the bag and took it out to our rubbish chute. As he helped put the bag down the chute, he said "Bye, bye paci!" (We are unsure what Bella had to say in order to get him to actually throw his pacifiers away, but her power of persuasion must be amazing!)Jared is also potty-trained. What? Are you sure? He's not even two! I know it's crazy. He has done a brilliant job. Because we are Nortons and we tend me be a little competitive, here is how the kids placed in regards to potty training: Bella comes in first by potty training herself at 23 months, Jared is second at 23 1/2 months, Brooklyn is third at 25 months and Colin is last at 30 months. Those of you who know Colin know that nothing bothers him more than coming in last in anything!

WAY TO GO JARED! You are an amazing little guy. This is an AWESOME day for you. Bella I am so proud of you. You are a very special sister to help Jared take that big step. You are AWESOME. Jenny, you have always taken care of things - I can't say by the book...but you have been organized all your life so this is one more milestone in your list of accomplishments to add to the many things you do as a mom, wife, daughter etc. You are all AWESOME
Yeah for Jared! Bella must get her persuasive techniques from her mom. :-) So, can we send Audrey to Australia for you to potty train her? You are so awesome at that. Miss ya!
Yay! Jenny, you're work is done...you can retire now ;) Your potty training track record is phenomenal! (I'm not going to bother embarrasing myself by listing mine).
Great job Jared! Our best was 29 months, so at least one of mine still beat Colin. Your kids are growing up, and looking so cute. Did I mention Jared looks exactly like Colin, who looks exactly like John?
So, are you guys getting out and meeting people? How is the ward? Are you happy down under? I love that you have a blog, keep it up.
