Russell Falls was breathtaking. After taking the requisite family picture, John opted to go exploring. He scaled the face of the bottom waterfall to get to the top one. There he took a lot more pictures, including the one on the bottom left where he laid on his stomach over the ledge. I was not watching at the time otherwise you would have a picture of it after I had yelled at him of course. He then found an easier way down and came got us to go up with him. We were so glad we did, although at the time I thought John was crazy for taking all of us up there (it was a bit scary at times). The views were so beautiful and the waterfalls were amazing.
We enjoyed walking to Horseshoe Falls further up the mountain where we proceeded to get very muddy. After our walk we had Nutella sandwiches (a staple when we travel) and played at a park for awhile, before getting back into the van for the long drive to Lake St. Clair, a part of Cradle Mountain National Park. We did stop for some raspberries and cherries which were delicious.

Beats the heck out of Bridal Veil Falls up Provo Canyon during a downpour. Beautiful!!! Shimmering diamonds cascading - and you saw it and heard it close up. Good find, boy those tour guide books are handy.
